مُنڍ ۾ ”وچ اوڀر ٺاهه تنظيم“ (METO) جي نالي سان قائم ڪيل هن ٺاهه تي 24 فيبروري 1955ع تي سڀ کان پهريان عراق، ايران ۽ ترڪيءَ صحيون ڪيون، جڏهن ته بعد ۾ پاڪستان ۽ برطانيا به ان ٺاهه ۾ شموليت اختيار ڪئي. هن ٺاهه جو خاص مقصد وچ اوڀر جي ملڪن ۾ ڪميونزم جي ڦهلاءُ کي روڪڻ هو. عرب ملڪن ان ٺاهه جي سخت مخالفت ڪئي، جنهن جي نتيجي ۾ 14 جولاءِ 1959 ع تي عراق ان ٺاهه مان نڪتو.پاڪستان، ايران ۽ ترڪيءَ پاران ان ٺاهه کي 1979ع ۾ ڇڏڻ بعد ان ٺاهه جو خاتمو ٿيو. هيءَ ٺاهه سينٽرل ٽريٽي آرگنائيزيشن (CENTO) جي نالي سان به مشهور آهي. ان ٺاهه جا ٻه خاص رخ، فوجي ۽ اقتصادي هئا.ٺاهه تي ايران سيپٽمبر 1955ع ۾، آمريڪا مئي 1956ع ۾ اقتصادي حوالي سان ۽ بعد ۾ 1958ع ۾ فوجي سهڪار جي لحاظ کان به صحيون ڪيون.ابتدا ۾ سهڪار جو مرڪز عراق جي شهر بغداد ۾ قائم ڪيو ويو. بعد ۾ 1975ع کان 1985ع تائين اهو مرڪز ترڪيءَ ۾ هو
